The "Santa in Uniform" was a big success. We were able to provide 21 kids with a Christmas and also help a family in Subligna who's house burnt a week before Christmas. We have grown each year and will continue to grow each year. We have people in town say they want to be apart of this each year. This has really been a year long project, we have different things in the year to raise money. We spent a total of $3,363.95 this year. Summerville Police Chief Stan Mosley and I (Dee Windle) are co-founders and we've enjoy helping the kids. I (Windle) can't take all the credit but it wouldn't be possible if it wasn't from the help of Fire Chief Mike Salmon and the rest of the volunteers from both the Police and Fire Departments.

Wal-Mart this year had a surprise for us this year. They carried us to the back where Santa Claus was waiting with refreshments and each kid had their picture made. After that we start our Christmas shopping spree where each kid had a $100 to spend, which every kid goes over some. After the shopping spree we carried the kids to Wendy's for lunch, which businessman Rusty Dooley paid for all the kids meals. We have a lot of people who help this year with this project: Summerville Fire Dept., Summerville Police Dept., Guffin and Eleam Insurance, Sons of the American Legion Post 129, Georgia Farm Bureau Ins., Greg Shaw Trucking, Greg and Paige Shaw, BB&T Banks, Truck Town Inc., B&T Tree Services, United Community Banks, Rusty and Amy Dooley, Sam Smith Chevrolet, Albert Palmour and office, Wal-Mart, and Wendy's.
